Iran’s exports to U.S. rise 18 folds in 9 months yr/yr

TEHRAN – The value of Iran’s exports to the United States increased by 18 folds in the first nine months of 2022 from the same period in 2021, IRIB reported.

Based on the data released by the United States Census Bureau, the U.S. imported commodities worth $10.9 million from Iran in the first nine months of this year, while the figure was only $600,000 in the same period of time in the past year.

According to the mentioned data, the two countries traded $42.2 million worth of goods in the mentioned nine months which was 42 percent more than the figure in the first nine months of 2021 when the trade between the two sides amounted to $29.9 million.

The United States Census Bureau’s data shows that the value of U.S. export to Iran increased seven percent to $31.3 million in the nine-month period of this year, from $29.3 million in the same time span of the previous year.

As previously reported by this bureau, the value of trade between Iran and the United States was $23.8 million in the first half of 2022, rising 18 percent from the figure in the first half of 2021.

The U.S. imported commodities worth $5 million from Iran in the first half of this year, while the figure was $300,000 in the same period of time in the past year.

The United States Census Bureau’s data shows that the value of U.S. export to Iran fell five percent to $18.8 million in the six-month period of this year, from $19.8 million in the same time span of the previous year.
